The absorption speed of sanitary napkins is a new testing item added to the new standard GB/T 8939-2018 "Sanitary Napkins (Cushions)", which tests the speed at which sanitary napkins absorb liquids. The absorption speed reflects the user's comfort level and "safety" of use. The instrument simulates the structural design of the female body, adding a specified amount of simulated human menstrual blood to the surface of the sanitary napkin, and the instrument automatically records the absorption rate of  the sanitary napkin. The sanitary napkin absorption rate tester consists of an absorption rate detector, which is composed of a standard testing module, a curved sample holder, an automatic liquid adding device, and an automatic timer. This device can not only detect the absorption rate of sanitary napkins, but also be used for the detection of disposable sanitary products such as diapers

and diapers.
